Faculty of Basic Sciences

The Faculty of Basic Sciences comprises the Departments of Physics and Chemistry:

– Physics Department: Offers research and development opportunities in areas such as renewable energy, material technology, modern medical imaging technologies, astronomical research, nanotechnology applications, industry, education, environment, and communications.

– Chemistry Department: A key source of experts in chemical industries, environment, medicine, energy, food, and materials. It applies chemical knowledge to develop new products and improve industrial processes, significantly contributing to scientific knowledge and providing solutions to societal challenges.

The faculty aims to excel and achieve scientific, academic, and knowledge distinction at regional and international levels in the physics and chemistry departments, providing an environment conducive to research and innovation.
To supply society with specialized competencies in physics and chemistry, enhancing graduates’ scientific and professional capabilities in education and research.
